Another crazy day for me…lots of upcoming activities! It is making me a little nervous that I’ll get everything done!
Here is a card that I made when Mary Brown and I were doing challenges a month or so ago! It was a simple sketch challenge. I jokingly told Mary that I’d be done in two minutes. Well…it did take a little longer than that!
I started with a base of Old Olive cardstock and cut it hot dog fold length. I added a strip of Tall Tales Designer Paper that I layered onto Chocolate Chip cardstock. I stamped Happy Birthday from On Your Birthday stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink in the lower right corner. Then I ran a scrap piece of Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper (pink check) thru the Big Shot with the Cherry Blossom embosslit die. I sanded the raised parts so the detail come out a little, then used a Sponge Dauber and Melon Mambo ink around the edges. I added a Chocolate Chip Corduroy button brad in the center. Finally, I punched the 5 petal punch with Old Olive cardstock and cut off two of the petals for leaves, sponging Old Olive ink around the edges.
Now, normally I wouldn’t use two different packs of designer paper on one card…but it was a scrap and just sitting on my desk! The pink check just seem to fit!
So, this is another card that would be easy to mass produce for birthday cards or thank yous! I seem to need a lot of them!
Have a great day!
