To Have and To Hold

UPDATED LAST CHANCE ACCESSORY LIST

Mary Brown and I had some time to work on a couple challenges Saturday night!  I needed some cards made up to post to my Blog!  I found this sketch from Mojo Monday several weeks ago.  I thought it definitely looked challenging.

Another set I’m sad to see leave the catalog is To Have and To Hold.  I like the stylized bride and groom, plus the set has some nice smaller images like the hearts, some champagne glasses, a rose…plus a couple nice greetings.  I remember trying to find a champagne glass stamp a couple years ago when I was working in my In-Laws 50th Wedding Anniversary Book and having no luck.  So…this set will stay in my collection.

I started with a base of Basic Gray cardstock.  I stamped the swirl design in Pink Pirouette on the Pink Pirouette cardstock and layered it over the base card.  I used the Gray pattern from Urban Oasis Designer Paper along the bottom and added a strip of Basic Black that I punched with the Scallop Edge Punch.  I wrapped some Pink Taffeta Ribbon around the bottom, too.  The Bride and Groom image from To Have and To Hold I stamped with Basic Gray on Whisper White and layered on Basic Gray.  I stamped the Medallion from Together Forever in Basic Gray on Whisper White and used the letter B monogram from Lovely  Letters with Pink Pirouette in the center.  I hand cut out the medallion, then used my Circle Scissors tool to cut out a 2" circle to place it on.  I stamped the hearts with Basic Gray on Whisper White and punched with the 1 1/4 square punch and layered on 1 3/8 square punch of Basic Gray cardstock.

I think this makes a very modern looking wedding card, although I did use 3 stamp sets!  I like being able to personalize it by using their initial for the Monogram..

I finished my projects for the Stampin’ Addicts Blog Hop this weekend.  Just need to photograph everything to get it ready to go!  I have a few other assignments to work on this week…one being my Control Freaks swap!  I’m happy that I have it designed, just need to crank out 30 of them!

Have a great day!

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 20 years and will have my 19th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! If you live anywhere in the Delaware, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard or surrounding Columbus, Ohio areas, join us! I love to meet new stamping friends. Email me for a current class schedule... I'm adding new classes all the time!

I am looking for the stamp set To Have and to Hold. Would you or someone you know have the stamp set for sale? I need one ASAP. I didn’t know it was to be retired and have planned wedding invitations for my niece.
    Any help would be appreciated.
