Every year, my husband has his office holiday party at our house. I’ve known about it for over a month and he had sent out a notice last month to hold the date. I completely forgot that I normally make up an official invitation until he reminded me. Seems like a few of the people in the office were asking about the hand-made invites I usually make, and was I doing one this year! OK…needed something quick since I wanted to get them into the office last week before Thanksgiving.
I bought packages of both the Little Felt Flurries and the Big Felt Flurries not really knowing the sizes. Well, the big ones are BIG! They are very suitable for using on gift bags and packages. I love the little ones for cards. But, I thought I could use one large one on a card and it would look ok. I started with a base of Baja Breeze, then used my Cuttlebug embossing folder in my Big Shot to get the snowflake embossed pattern on the Whisper White. I cut a Baja Breeze Top Note diecut with the Big Shot, too, and stamped You’re Invited (from Sincere Salutations) with Chocolate Chip ink. Added a large Rhinestone brad to the center of the felt snowflake and to the top portion of the Top Note to secure it. Very quick and easy invitation, but I think it looks pretty elegant!
Inside I put the Holiday Party information and the directions to our house on Whisper White, then stamped the snowflake from Snow Swirled randomly with Baja Breeze ink.
So…enjoy! I need to clean up my studio for class tonight…looks like a small tornado went thru it since I’ve been busy working on my Last Minute Gift Ideas class on Thursday night.
