It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “One Layer Cards”.  I always find that one-layer cards are SO much harder to make than regular cards with lots of layers and elements!  My card this week is truly just a one-layer card…no embellishments, but I like how it turned out!

TWISTED IN TIME

Twisted in Time is a new Online Exclusive that was just released.  I love the gnarly looking tree!  A little masking made this come together really quickly!

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White (so HAPPY that this is staying as an online exclusive in the 8-1/2 x 11 size!)
• The edges were masked off with Washi Tape leaving approx. 1/4″ on the left side and 2-1/4 on the right side.
• Blending brushes were used with Pumpkin Pie Ink, Daffodil Delight Ink, Lemon Lime Twist Ink, Granny Apple Green Ink and Garden Green Inks across the background.  I made the “hills” by tearing a piece of cardstock and using it as a mask to variegate the colors of the ground.
• The Twisted in Time tree was stamped with Early Espresso Ink.  The bushy solid image was stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink and the detailed leaves stamped twice with Garden Green Ink…one higher than the other to fill in the tree.
• The washi tape was removed and left a nice clean edge.
• The greeting from Twisted in Time was stamped with Garden Green Ink in the lower right corner.
