Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a box of popcorn!

I tried my hand at making a container of popcorn on My card!  So fun to die-cut all those popcorn pieces!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of blue Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper was added on top.
  • The “pop” greeting from Poppin’ By is stamped three times on the DSP with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner.
  • A 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Painted Stripes background stamp in Real Red Ink and the sides trimmed at an angle.  It was added to the bottom of the DSP.
  • Ten popcorn pieces were cut with the dies from Lemon Lolly cardstock and brushed with Daffodil Delight Ink using a Blending Brush.  Nine were adhered to the top of the container with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  One was stamped with the word Enjoy in Memento Black Ink and placed at the bottom.
  • Some White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the container with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Three Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the popcorn for a little bling!

It’s a new month and for the month of June we are featuring “masks”.  There are SO many different ways to mask!

POPPIN’ BY

Here’s a third type of masking that I called Inside Masking.  Cut an opening in your mask and lay on top of your cardstock layer, then brush the ink on the inside of the opening.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was reverse masked with Lemon Lolly Ink brushed inside the opening…darker on the edges and lighter towards the center.
  • The popcorn bucket was stamped twice…once with Daffodil Delight Ink and once with Real Red Ink and cut with the dies.  The eyes and feet were colored with Basic Black Marker.  The red and white bucket was cut away from the popcorn and then adhered over top of the Daffodil Delight stamped image.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The glasses were cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered.
  • Two popcorn kernels were cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock and added next to the bucket.
  • A 3/4 by 4 Basic Black strip was cut at an angle on the ends.
  • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 5/8 x 3 piece of Basic White and the ends cut at an angle.  They were layered together then popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of white/gold Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  It’s a fun sketch challenge this week!

This is my first chance to use my new Poppin’ By Bundle!  I thought it was different and that it would be fun for some kid (pre-teen) cards!  Or it would be fun to use on a movie theater gift card holder!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of black & white striped Lovely Garden DSP was added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Poppy Parade cardstock, then added to the front of the card.
  • Two 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 squares of Basic White were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front, overlapping.
  • The three popcorn were cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Dies and stamped with “pop” in Memento Back Ink, then added to the front top square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The popcorn bucket was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink and Daffodil Delight Ink on Basic Whie cardstock.  The Poppy Parade bucket was cut away from the popcorn and added to the Daffodil Delight bucket.
  • The eyes were colored with Basic Black Marker.
  • The shoes were cut with the Dies from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the legs.
  • He was added to the front square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped on a 1/4 x 4 piece of Poppy Parade cardstock and the end cut at an angle, then tucked under the popcorn bucket with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of white Starburst Sequins were added to the background.
