SSC102 Sketch – Wonderful You

Today is the second Stamping411 Sketch Challenge! Come play along and upload your design on the Stamping 411 Blog! Make sure to title your card as SSC102 if you upload to SCS or SA. There are some additional inspiration designs from the other Design Operators for you to look at, too!

This Wonderful You set was on the Dormant List last catalog and now is going to be retired. I liked it because it has both the solid image and the outline image. You can use it three ways…solid, outline or two-step with both! It also has a couple nice greetings in it.

My Technique Class learned how to do Faux Shaving Cream last Tuesday, so I thought I’d use the solid leaf in Wonderful You with that technique again. The ink lighter color I used was Mellow Moss on the leaf, with Always Artichoke as the darker color for the faux look. I stamped it on Whisper White then layered it on a piece of Always Artichoke that I added 1/4" so I could place three Antique Brass brads.

The base card is Mellow Moss and I added a layer of Always Artichoke. Then I used a 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 piece of Juntos Designer Paper for the bottom design. I wrapped the Chocolate Chip 5/8 ribbon around to the back of the Always Artichoke layer, so the seam between the DSP and cardstock was hidden. The stamped focal piece was added over the DSP with dimensionals. Finally, I stamped the Birthday Greetings image from On Your Birthday stamp set with Always Artichoke on Whisper White and punched it out with the Large Oval punch. I layered it on a punched Scallop Oval in Mellow Moss.
