Trendy Trees – Fall

Cincinnati Regional was FABULOUS! Had a great time! Thank you to those of you who came up and said hi and told me you read my Blog! I felt like a rock star! lol!

Here is a card I made for one of my downline who was Top Sales last quarter. I realized I hadn’t shared it here!

I love the colors of this card for fall! I stamped the trio of Trendy Trees tree trunks in Soft Suede on Whisper White cardstock. Then I used Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry and Always Artichoke ink for the tree tops. I layered it on Crushed Curry cardstock. The base card is Dusty Durango and I wrapped Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon around the front layered piece. Thanks so much from Trendy Trees was stamped in Soft Suede on Crushed Curry and punched with the Modern Label punch. I added a cute flower button from Latte Buttons package as an accent. Clean and Simple!

Trendy Trees

Here is another card that my Stamp Camp did last weekend. I used the fun set, Trendy Trees for this one. They stamped each of the trunks with Basic Gray, then used the different tree tops for each "season". So Saffron for Fall, Certainly Celery for Summer and Bashful Blue for Winter. I figured the overall card was "spring". lol! I added a red "apple" to the summer tree. I used the Curly Label punch to punch each of them out. The Sale-A-bration designer paper, Delicate Dots, coordinated perfectly! At the bottom, I wrapped some White grosgrain ribbon and knotted. At the top, I stamped, Thanks So Much, in Basic Gray and used a row of pierced dots, drawing your eye over to the words. The base card is Certainly Celery, with a layer of Sahara Sand and the Delicate Dots Designer Paper.

I’m going to try and get some things set to post before I leave EARLY in the morning. If you don’t see anything, you know I ran out of time!

Trendy Trees

Oops…I don’t know what happened yesterday. I completely forgot to post! I slept in again (still catching up from the Retreat), did some orders…puttered around the house, did some grocery shopping…and BAM…the day was OVER! Anyone have days like that? lol!

This card was designed when Lisa and I worked on some challenges via cyberspace way back at the end of January! I’d forgotten I hadn’t posted it here. After I finished this card, I did tweak it a little bit…got rid of the tag, but it still works. I’m sure we used a sketch, but I couldn’t find the information on whose it was! Sorry!

I started with a base of Certainly Celery and cut some of the Delicate Dots Designer paper…only available to those who place a $50 order…it is one of the free Sale-A-bration products! Don’t have yours? Place your order HERE and click on Shop Now in the upper right corner! The designer paper is cut almost on the diagonal and both sides were used. I stamped the tree leaves several times with Certainly Celery on Whisper White…to make the tree look fuller and then added the trunk in Basic Gray. I cut a strip of Certainly Celery with my Cutter Kit to get a curved line for the grass. It was layered on Basic Gray, then added layers of Certainly Celery and So Saffron. I used the Eyelet Border punch on the So Saffron. Last, I added some Bashful Blue Faux Diamond Dust 1/4 circles along the left side and some Bashful Blue Taffeta ribbon with the tag, "Thinking of You".

I hope to get back into my posting routine! I have lots of pictures to take during the daytime of the cards I made over the weekend. Some are made with retired product, so I hope you don’t mind too much!

DCBD 114 – Color Challenge

Today’s Diva Coffee Break Designer’s challenge was to use the colors of Always Artichoke, Almost Amethyst, Pink Pirouette and Kraft to design a card. Again, my bigger challenge always involve the color combinations!

However, I pulled out my new set, Trendy Trees, to design this card. I was thinking that the Pink Pirouette could represent the cherry blossom trees! I’m so wanting SPRING to be here! We’ve been tempted with 50 degree weather the last few days (that in Ohio is pretty unusual for February!), but I know it is only a big tease!

I started with the base card of Kraft and layered with Pink Pirouette. I cut some 3/4" strips of Almost Amethyst paper and stamped the swirl stamp in Trendy Trees with White Craft and layered them on the Pink Pirouette. I stamped the trunk in Sahara Sand and topped them with Pink Pirouette blossoms on Whisper White. Then I cut a strip of Always Artichoke with my Cutter Kit to make a curvy line for the "grass". I layered the White on Pink Pirouette, then a layer of Always Artichoke. I added a little bling with a Pink felt flower and silver Filigree brad. Thanks So Much was stamped in Always Artichoke, too.

Enjoy! I’m in a GOOD mood since I finished my taxes…just have to review them one more time and send them off. WOOHOO!!!
