I've been wanting to make one of these "box cards" and decided to go with a birthday candle theme for mine using Retro Fresh Designer Paper and the Just Sayin' stamp set! This was the card that my Stampin' with Connie class did this month!
You could easily personalize this with the number of candles, adding the #40 (or whatever) in between the candles or along one of the flaps! VERY fun and easy to make! On mine, I used some small strips of Window Sheets in order to make the flame of the candle (Bird Punch wing) above the candle base a little. My flames also have some Clear Dazzling Details on them for extra sparkle.
I used the Banner Punch (hurry…the opportunity to get it FREE with a $50 order ends March 31st!) on the sides in two little banners punched from Retro Fresh DSP, too. You're How Old? was stamped with Soft Suede on Very Vanilla, then cut with the Word Bubbles Framelits and popped up on top of the Artisan Label Punch of Tangerine Tango cardstock.
And, what is SO nice about this card is that it folds up to fit in a standard sized envelope!
