Jar of Haunts Halloween

As promised…I took yesterday’s stack of pumpkins card using Jar of Haunts and made it spookier!  If you missed it, you can see the original one HERE!  And this is my new one:

Jar of Haunts 2

Here are the details…

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black folded in half.
  • Along the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Smoky Slate is a 1/4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper and a 1/2 x 5-1/4 Halloween Night Designer Paper strip.
  • A Spooky Treat greeting is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then layered on a coordinating pattern in Halloween Nights DSP package, both cut with a flag end.
  • Again, here is how I made the different sized pumpkins from just ONE stamp!  First stamp four pumpkins with Memento Black Ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock and hand-cut them out. For the top one, trim off the two side curves of the pumpkin to make a smaller one. The middle one is regular sized. The bottom is two pumpkins overlapped side by side. If you follow the lines of the pumpkins, you can see how they match up pretty well! Stack them all together and add to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add the Spooky eyes to the smallest pumpkin on top with Memento Black Ink.  Stamp the eyes again on Whisper White with Memento Black Ink, color with Crushed Curry Marker, then hand-cut and adhere over the ones stamped on the pumpkin.
  • The stem/leaf image is stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White, then colored with an Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Marker and hand-cut.
  • Cut two strands of the Smoky Slate/Basic Black Baker’s Twine and tie a knot in the center, then add to the neck of the top pumpkin.
  • Add a few Black Sequins from the Metallic Sequins Pack for a little bling down the front of the pumpkin stack for “buttons”.
