I did put out my Fall and Halloween decorations over the weekend. Not because it really looks like fall around here…there are a few trees starting to change colors, but we've had a lot of rain and most things are still very green. That is fine by me! I'll delay fall as long as possible so it pushes back winter! lol! On Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition, we are featuring fall and Thanksgiving products from the Holiday Mini this week. But remember, you must be a subscriber to see them! At a price of $34.95 US for six weeks and over 36 step-by-step tutorials…that is less than $1 a day for great ideas to use in your Stamp Camps or to make as gifts!
I must admit, I think that Stampin' Up! really outdid themselves with their fall sets this year…I LOVE both of them in the Holiday Mini…Always Thankful that I used here and Gently Falling!
With this card, I wanted to show that the Frightful Sights Designer paper could be used for something other than Halloween! This Tangerine Tango and small black polka dots is one of my favorite patterns. I started with a base of Basic Gray cardstock. I layered on the DSP and Old Olive cardstock that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Houndstooth Impressions Folder. I covered the seam with Basic Gray Satin Ribbon (LOVE that Satin Ribbon! I still have 1-2 spots in ALL the RIBBON SHARES…you can check them out HERE!)
For the focal point, I stamped the wheelbarrow full of pumpkins from Always Thankful in Black Stazon, then used my Stampin' Write Markers and AquaPainter to watercolor the image in Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler and Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla cardstock. I layered it on Basic Gray, then angled it across the front of the card. I added the greeting from Petite Pairs stamp set in Basic Gray on Very Vanilla and punched with the 1" Circle punch, then layered on 1 1/4" Circle of Old Olive.
Busy day again for me…BUSY week! I need to finish preparing for my Haunted Forest class tomorrow night! I think it will be fun, that is a very cute single stamp image!
Wonderful card….great for Fall (if it ever gets here!).
Love your card, the colors are so pretty and I do have that Halloween paper, great idea.
