In addition to celebrating the new Create with Connie and Mary Edition starting up, there is another celebration today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY…to ME!!! Yes…today is my birthday and I made myself a birthday card! Well, not really, this was one of the cards we did for my Technique Class last night! It does have my favorite color…yellow…and I love flowers…and this set is just TOO CUTE for a birthday card! So…it will be my birthday card to myself! lol!
I started with a base of Daffodil Delight. On the Whisper White…look closely…do you see it? I used the Piercing Template on it in the background! I'm going to LOVE that set of templates, I know it! I also added a strip of Floral District Designer Paper across the top. I stamped the flower on scrap Whisper White…I used the Dauber Painting Technique on it with colors of Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red! It is punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and popped up in the pierced area. I added a Real Red bird and two Lucky Limeade leaf clusters. A rhinestone for the bird's eye and he is holding the Itty Bitty Banner with the Happy Birthday greeting in his mouth!
Like I said…cute, huh?

Hi Connie! Happy Birthday today!!! What a bright and cheery card you have made. I LOVE it! I think it is very cool that you punched out the flower with the circle punch. I wouldn't have thought to do that. So cool. Love the colors you have used and all the yellow too. Hope you had a nice piece of cake, ice cream, or other birthday treat today.
