CCMC210 Bug Me

Happy Thursday!  Time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This one will last for TWO WEEKS since many of us are away at the Stampin' Up! Convention!  We have a Color Challenge for you!  We've been featuring the "Growing Up" series of products in the Create with Connie and Mary New Catalog 2012 Edition this week, I used one of the featured sets, Bug Me, on my card today!

 

 

I had a little trouble incorporating all FOUR colors in this challenge!  I think the So Saffron thru me off.  But, I did get it fit in there.

 

 

I love the little lady bug in this set…however, I didn't want the smiley face of the bug showing.  So, I used the body of the lady bug, stamping it in Cherry Cobbler and cutting it out, then just punched a 3/8" Itty Bitty Circle of Basic Black for the head and placed it partially under the body.  Then, of course, I had to hand cut the antenna's and add them back under the head!  lol!  I made 3 of those, then popped them up on a 1 1/4" circle of Pool Party, layered on 1 3/8" Basic Black.

 

The base of the card is Old Olive and I layered on Cherry Cobbler and a piece of Storybook Designer Paper across the top.  I stamped Happy Birthday from Curly Cute stamp set in Basic Black along the bottom of Whisper White.  I placed the three Lady Bug circles on top.  Then wrapped the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around and criss crossed it on front.  That was layered on So Saffron.  Finally, I added a piece of Old Olive along the left side, punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Plus a little bling with some Rhinestones along each side of the greeting!
