It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a fun sketch for you to try!
MERRY & BRIGHT
I thought of this set immediately when I saw the sketch! I was hoping I could use the light string as one of the elements.
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lime Twist is embossed with the crosshatch Basics Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive).
- A 1 x 5-1/2 strip of Merry Bold & Bright DSP is added down the right side.
- A 3 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock was added on the front.
- The light string is cut with the Merry & Bright Die from Shaded Spruce cardstock.
- The lights were stamped with Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst and Crushed Curry Inks, the filaments with Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White and cut with the Dies.
- The light ends were cut from Silver Foil with the Dies and adhered to the lights, then threaded on the light strand and added to the front of the Basic White c/s with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some Wink of Stella was added to each of the light bulbs.
- Merry & Bright greeting was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut and added to the front.
- A trio of varied colored Iridescent Adhesive Backed Disks were added to the background.
