It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch challenge this week!
RINGED WITH NATURE
I miss having a pretty poinsettia set in this year’s July-December Mini Catalog (and a SNOWMAN set!!!) So, I pulled out my Ringed with Nature Bundle to work with on today’s card and combined it with the A Walk in the Forest Designer Paper.
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was added on top.
- A 2 x 4 piece of A Walk in the Forest striped DSP was added in the back, then a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 pine need pattern from A Walk in the Forest on top.
- The 2 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White was added on top.
- The tree ring was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and hand-cut (or use the Tree Rings Die). It was added to the front of the Basic White piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The poinsettia flower was stamped twice with Real Red Ink and once with Garden Green Ink, then hand-cut and added the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. (The green one was cut into pieces for the leaves.)
- Merry Christmas was stamped with Real Red Ink on 5/8 x 2-3/4 piece of Garden Green cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Wild Wheat In Color Dots were added to the centers of the poinsettias.
