It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Welcome back! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to celebrating a NEW YEAR! This week we have a pretty color combination!
PLANTED PARADISE
I’ve been thinking that several of the images in the new Planted Paradise Stamp set could be combined for flowers! Here’s my first go at it…I’m sure I’ll be making many more! I really like these stylized images! This one was made into a pretty poinsettia!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Throughout the Year (carryover to online exclusive!) greeting in Pecan Pie…so easy to change to a birthday or get well if you want!
- The 2 x 4 piece of Glorious Gingham Designer Paper was added along the bottom.
- A 1/4 x 4 strip of More Dazzled Specialty DSP was added to hide the seam.
- The flower trio image was stamped three times on Basic White cardstock with Cherry Cobbler Ink and hand-cut. The small leaf was stamped three times in Old Olive Ink and hand-cut. They were combined and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Three gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the center.
Although I went with a poinsettia look to my flower, imagine it in different colors! OK, go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary
