It's time! Join us for a FUN inspiration challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We have a DELICIOUS looking cake for you to use as inspiration! Oh…I would LOVE to have a piece of it…looks YUMMY! What does it inspire you to make? Use the colors, the gold beads, the layers…whatever inspires you to play along! Check out what the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge Team did with it this week! I KNOW they will inspire YOU!
So here is my card! I was really inspired by the colors in this cake. And…since we have weddings on the brain around here, I made mine a wedding card!
I started with Whisper White cardstock and used the Framed Tulips Impressions Folder on the front of the base card. Then I measured another piece of Whisper White cardstock to fit inside the frame, ran it thru the Big Shot with the Finial Press Impressions Folder (doesn't it look like what is on the background of the cake?) and then layered it with Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
I ran Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Daffodil Delight cardstock thru the Big Shot with the new Fun Flowers BIgz Die and cut the smallest flower. I added the scallop center piece on the die to each of the centers, then the Old Olive Flower Brad to the center of each. I curled the petals up on each flower and placed them with Stampin' Dimensionals on the base card. Finally, I stamped Happy I Do day from Word Play Stamp Set in Basic Black on Pear Pizzazz and punched with the Decorative Label Punch.
I love how the colors inspired me…what inspires you? Make sure to link your creation over on Create with Connie and Mary! We love to see your work!

Connie–love it! The colors just pop on the white background and it sure does look like cake–yummy! I just got that die in yesterdays mail so maybe I'll give this one a try later on today. It's stampers like you that inspire me. Sorry to say I'm better at copying than creating but–as long as you don't mind sharing, it works for me. Nina

LOVE your card! The white on white is fabulous but with a little bit of Pear Pizzazz just behind the one layer is perfect!

I loved this card, Connie. Looks like you have a scalloped edge under the Pear Pizzazz at the bottom? Did you have another layer?

Oooooh, you are making me want to dig my brand-new die out. I've had it for awhile and haven't had a minute to play with it yet! Love the sentiment on colored cardstock. Lovely card!
