Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. It’s the first Tuesday of the month and our August theme is “Scenic”. Stampin’ Up! has a LOT of scenic type images in their line-up so this should be fun!
FROSTED FOREST
I really like this Frosted Forest Bundle (Online Exclusive), especially since it includes the MASKS in the bundle price! Masks make it very easy to color. On this card, however, the stark look of the black die-cuts against the Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper really pops! And NO stamping…except the greeting!
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock was embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive)
- The Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper was cut with the Deckled Circle Die and added towards the left on the front of the Pretty Peacock layer, cutting off the excess.
- The tree silhouette and bird images were cut with the dies from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the circle.
- Some black Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack was wrapped around the Lost Lagoon layer and adhered in the back.
- The greeting was stamped on 5/8 x 1-3/4 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock with Memento Black Ink and added over the twine with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
