Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Animals”!
CHOOSE HAPPY
Looking through my current stamp sets, I discovered I don’t have a lot of animal stamps! Funny…I must go in cycles, because I know I used to have a bunch! I found these cute little penguins in the Choose Happy stamp set. It’s my son’s wedding anniversary in a couple weeks and his wife loves penguins…so it made the perfect inspiration!
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added to the front.
- A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Marbled Elegance Designer Paper was added to the left side.
- The oval from Impressions Abloom Dies was cut from Cloud Cover cardstock and stamped with the Falling Snow background stamp in Cloud Cover Ink.
- Half of the oval was also cut from Basic White cardstock and torn across the top. It was stamped with Happy Anniversary from Choose Happy stamp set in Memento Black Ink. It was added to the bottom of the Cloud Cover oval, then to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two penguins were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, the feet and beak colored with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and the cheeks with Light Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the snow bank.
- The Choose Happy heart was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Poppy Parade cardstock and hand-cut, then added above the penguins with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
- A trio of white Starburst Sequins were added to the background.
