It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We’re back with our regular sketches and color challenges this month! This week is a fun sketch!
ENCIRCLED WITH LOVE
I was looking at a bunch of different DSPs that would have a front and back pattern that would work for this sketch! I came across the Nests of Winter Designer Paper and thought I could make it work! I also haven’t had an opportunity to use my new Encircled with Love stamp set, so pulled out one of the greetings for today’s card!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded. The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Early Espresso cardstock was added on top.
- I cut the Nests of Winter DSP to 4 x 6, then trimmed it to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8, cutting off more at the bottom so the birds were balanced on the front where I needed them.
- The corner was folded down so the reverse side shows through to the front and adhered in place.
- The Encircled with Love greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Calypso Coral cardstock and punched with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two acorns from the Nests of Winter DSP were hand-cut and added next to the greeting.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added above the acorns with a Mini Glue Dot.
- A trio of Low Profile Dots were added to the background.
This Designer Paper is so gorgeous…I’m glad they kept in in the lineup from last winter even though they retired the stamping bundle! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.
