It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! This week is a fun sketch challenge!
HOLLY JOLLY BRANCHES
The tall narrow trees in this Holly Jolly Branches Die set really caught my eye! I just happened to have this card partially finished on my desk…I had initially designed it for my monthly class but then went into a different direction. Although I took a little creative license with the sketch…it is pretty darn close! My greeting just happened to be longer than the inside of the frame.
Stampin’ Details:
- The base 4-1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Softly Woven Embossing Folder and added to the front.
- A 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Whispering Woods DSP was added to the bottom.
- Next a 1/4 x 4 strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock was added across the front to hide the seam.
- A 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Azure Afternoon cardstock was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Scalloped Christmas Cheer rectangle was cut from Basic White cardstock and brushed with Azure Afternoon Ink around the edges on the top right and bottom left. It was stamped and stamped off with the snowflake dots image in Azure Afternoon Ink, too. Then it was added to the front, flat.
- A 3 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was brushed with Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lime Twist Inks, cut with the tree dies, and stamped with the stars, lines and dots in Shaded Spruce Ink on top. They were added to the scallop rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Holly Jolly Branches was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label die. It was added across the front.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the greeting with a Mini Glue Dot.
