We are just starting Week 2 of the Create with Connie and Mary Summer 2011 Edition! It's not too late to join…you still will have access to all the projects we've done so far…plus enjoy the future ones as they are posted daily! We are featuring Fabulous Florets, Pretty Postage, Proud Peacock and Touch of Kindness stamp sets this week! You can still see our Preview Projects over on Create with Connie and Mary to see a sampling of what we are all about!
Well, I feel it is safe to go ahead and show the Shower Invitation that I made for my future daughter-in-law's Bridal Shower coming up in June! They were mailed out last weekend! I loved the new Fabulous Floret stamp set, so I ended up using it. I didn't want to design the same thing as I did for their wedding invites…I still want them to be a surprise!
Their colors are Melon Mambo and Night of Navy…with a touch of Pumpkin Pie (my son's favorite color). Perfect for this set! These are finished 5 x 7 size. I printed out the invites on Shimmery White cardstock, then embossed the top couple inches with the Finial Press Impressions Folder. I stamped the stem from Fabulous Florets in Pear Pizzazz. Then stamped the large flower with Melon Mambo on Whisper White cardstock and cut out. I stamped the smaller open flower with Melon Mambo ink on Pumpkin Pie and cut them out. The larger flower is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals above the smaller flower. The Shimmery White is layered on Melon Mambo. I also had some Shimmery White envelopes left from last year's wedding invites, so I was able to use those.
I think they are "simply elegant" and I hope she likes them! I love being able to use my supplies on their wedding ensembles!
Sharing creativity one stamped image at a time!
