I mentioned that I'm in a group that offers one-on-one challenges. You make your card and swap it with an assigned partner based on the theme of the week. It is nice because you participate when you want. The theme for this card was "Hip to be Squared" Pretty clever! So here is my theme card for my Partner, Toni…I'm pretty sure she has received it by now.
Since it has so many layers, I didn't go a LOT with embellishments. I started with Poppy Parade base card and added a layer of Pink Pirouette. I used the In Color Poppy Parade Patterns Designer Paper and layered it on Cherry Cobbler. I needed a contrasting color, so added a strip of Old Olive and stamped "Thanks Big Time" from Stampin' Up!'s A Word for You stamp set in Basic Black. I wrapped some 1/8 Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon around to the back to secure.
I built layers of the Fun Flowers Die with Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade and Pink Pirouette, each layer having Stampin' Dimensionals in between (yes, it did cost me more to mail!) I used the scallop circle from the Die in the center with a Rhinestone Jewel placed in it. Each of the flower layers was run thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. I liked the graduating shades of color in the flower!
Have a great weekend! I'm meeting up with Mary (from Create with Connie and Mary) today for lunch and some brainstorming! Then I have a Cards for Cause session tonight…we make sympathy cards for Children's Hospital. The nurses hand these out to the families who have lost loved ones. I'm taking a full box of retired swap cards and converting them into Sympathy cards for them. Put them to good use!
Sharing creativity one stamped image at a time!

Connie, your card is gorgeous! It looks like I could pick it up off the screen. The Poppy Parade card stock makes the card pop.
