Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a fruity birthday cake! Doesn’t it look yummy!
SIMPLY SPARKLING
Again…I have almost no birthday cakes (or cupcakes) in my stamp supplies! So, I decided to focus on the fruit on this cake. I used the strawberry from Simply Sparkling Bundle to make my card. (Sorry…it appears that the Simply Sparkling stamp set is now sold out…the dies are still available. You could recreate this card with the strawberry detail dies instead of the stamped ones!)
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- I cut a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of pink check from the Lily Pond Lane 6×6 Designer Paper Pack and added it to the front.
- A coordinating 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Lily Pond Lane DSP was added across the DSP.
- I stamped five strawberries from Simply Sparkling stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and colored with Dark Pretty in Pink and Poppy Parade Combo Stampin’ Blends and Garden Green Marker for the tops.
- I also stamped four double leaves from Flowers of Beauty stamp set with Memento Black Ink. I colored with Light Shaded Spruce and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
- All were cut with the coordinating dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Then I cut Happy Birthday with the Wanted To Say Dies from Pretty Peacock cardstock and added to the bottom corner.
- A trio of peacock Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background.
