Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a fruity birthday cake!  Doesn’t it look yummy!

SIMPLY SPARKLING

Again…I have almost no birthday cakes (or cupcakes) in my stamp supplies!  So, I decided to focus on the fruit on this cake.  I used the strawberry from Simply Sparkling Bundle to make my card.  (Sorry…it appears that the Simply Sparkling stamp set is now sold out…the dies are still available.  You could recreate this card with the strawberry detail dies instead of the stamped ones!)

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • I cut a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of pink check from the Lily Pond Lane 6×6 Designer Paper Pack and added it to the front.
  • A coordinating 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Lily Pond Lane DSP was added across the DSP.
  • I stamped five strawberries from Simply Sparkling stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and colored with Dark Pretty in Pink and Poppy Parade Combo Stampin’ Blends and Garden Green Marker for the tops.
  • I also stamped four double leaves from Flowers of Beauty stamp set with Memento Black Ink.  I colored with Light Shaded Spruce and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
  • All were cut with the coordinating dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Then I cut Happy Birthday with the Wanted To Say Dies from Pretty Peacock cardstock and added to the bottom corner.
  • A trio of peacock Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a variety of citrus fruits!

 

SIMPLY SPARKLING

I love the little fruit stamps that came with the Simply Sparkling Bundle (Online Exclusive), so I used the citrus wedge and made lemons, limes, grapefruit and orange slices!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was brushed with Lemon Lime Twist Ink in the upper left and lower right corners using a Blending Brush.
  • The solid can was cut with the Simply Sparkling Die from Peach Pie In Color 6×6 Designer Paper and the top and bottom pieces from Smoky Slate cardstock.  A piece of Basic Black was cut and adhered behind the opening.  They were assembled and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The bubbles cluster was cut from Peach Pie cardstock then divided into two pieces and one added at the top of the can and one at the bottom of the can with Monoadhesive Glue.
  • On scrap Basic White, the straw was stamped with Poppy Parade, and the fruit slice stamped four times with Memento Black Ink.  The slices were colored with Pretty in Pink Combo, Pumpkin Pie Combo, Lemon Lime Twist Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Simply Sparkling Dies.  The straw was tucked into the can opening.
  • The leaf cluster die was cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
  • The Fizztastic greeting was stamped on Peach Pie cardstock with Memento Black ink and cut with the Stylish Shapes circle Die.
  • All diecuts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The soda-lightful greeting was stamped on 1/2 x 3 Basic White and brushed with Lemon Lime Twist Ink, then the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front around the slides.
  • Some pink, green and yellow Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins (Online Exclusive) were added to the background.

CS150 – Simply Sparkling

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  It’s a new month and July’s theme is “Summer”.  Cards that have a represent the warmer temps and longer days…at least here in Ohio!

SIMPLY SPARKLING

It is peach season, and I just had the BEST peaches from our local farmer’s market!  Oh my gosh!  SO sweet and juicy!  I only bought three, so I’m headed back to get more!  Yummy!  That inspired my card using the cute little peach from Stampin’ Up!’s Simply Sparkling Bundle!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The Peach Pie 2-24-26 In Color DSP was cut with the Perennial Postage Die, then cut off the bottom 1/3 and reversed the print, and adhered to the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White.
  • Some green Natural Tones Linen Thread was wrapped around the Basic White layer and tied in a bow on the front to hide the seam.
  • Some additional Basic White cardstock was cut with the smaller Perennial Postage Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The peach was stamped three times with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Peach Pie, Light Lemon Lolly and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Simply Sparkling Die and added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Simply Sparkling was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Peach Pie cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was tucked around the peaches with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of peach In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the background.
