Wow…I am sad that this little single stamp, On the Green, is retiring! I had purchased it to use for my sons' birthdays (and still will keep it to use). Both of them enjoy the game of golf. My oldest son's birthday is next week and he wanted some golf clubs for his gift. So, I pulled out this stamp set and enclosed money for him to purchase the kind he wants. My card does use a couple sneak peek products…can you see what they are?
First let me say that I was inspired by several different cards I saw in galleries…I kind of combined a lot of different pieces of the cards to get this one! I started with Poppy Parade as my base card. Next is the layer of Whisper White. I used a sponge, Bashful Blue and a scrap scallop circle to make the clouds in the background. I tore a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the "green" and then used my Paper Snips to cut the grass blades along the torn edge. I sponged Garden Green ink over top for a two-tone look.
I stamped On the Green in Garden Green Classic Ink on Whisper White, then layered it on Garden Green cardstock. I ran a scrap of Whisper White thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, then punched 3/4" circles for the golf balls. I used the reverse dimpled side and adhered them to the front. The top one is adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional. I cut a strip of Early Espresso for the flag pole.
Here is the SNEAK PEEK! I used the new Pennant Parade stamp set I got on the Alaska Cruise and stamped the pennant outline in Early Espresso on Poppy Parade cardstock. Wish Big from the same stamp set was stamped inside. I punched it with the new Petite Pennants Builder Punch and adhered it to the flag pole and then to the front of the card with a Stampin' Dimensional!
I think he'll like it! He should get it today in the mail…so I'm anxious to hear what he thinks! This was a perfect masculine card for him!
