It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Beach Theme” for their cards this week. Since I’ve just recently returned from Thailand and the awesome beaches there, this challenge was really fun! We went snorkeling one day and saw some pretty, bright-colored fish which were my inspiration for this card!
Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Tranquil Tide cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
- On a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Whisper White, Crumb Cake was sponged along the bottom, then Tranquil Tide Ink around the edges and sea floor. Pool Party was sponged in the center.
- The seaweed was stamped with Night of Navy Ink and colored with Garden Green Marker.
- The starfish was stamped with Calypso Coral on the bottom of the ocean.
- The fish were stamped with Night of Navy ink on Whisper White, then colored with Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, So Saffron and Calypso Coral Markers. They were cut out and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting was stamped with Night of Navy Ink.
- The fish were colored with the Clear Wink of Stella and Glitter Dots added for the bubbles.
