Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Lori de Groot

For the next several weeks, we will be Casing the Design Team for our Saturday Blog Hops! This week our featured Design Team Member is Lori de Groot! We are to find an “old” card on her blog that we like and use the layout and colors with a new set from the July-December Mini Catalog! This should be fun! We will show both the “old” card that inspired us, and our new version! Here’s Lori’s card that I choose from last year.

APPLE HARVEST

This is just in time for the start of school with our wonderful Apple Harvest set

Stampin’ Details:

The base is Real Red 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
4 x 5-1/4 Black & White Designs Designer Paper is layered on top.
Scallop Contours Dies – larger one (middle sized) was cut from Basic White, next smaller one from Basic Black. Stamp greeting in Versamark and White Emboss, add the Basic Black one to Basic White with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Basic White – stamp apple in Memento Black, color with Real Red and Old Olive Blends, cut out, add to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals
Add some Silver Festive adhesive backed Pearls to finish off.

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 23 years and just had my 22nd Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes!
