Stamping 411 – Strength & Hope

June 17, 2011 By Connie | 7 Comments

Time for another sketch from the gals at Stamping 411!  This was was a little different…or maybe I just had a different view of it.  I tried NOT to use butterflies…but it was just perfect for my design!  lol!  I'm anxious to see what the other Design Operators did with this sketch!

And here is my interpretation using Stampin' Up!'s Strength & Hope stamp set.  Did you know that Stampin' Up! donates $2 from each set sold to support breast cancer research!  I'm SO happy that they embraced this worthy cause!

I wanted to use some cheerful colors, so I pulled out Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry to use with my Whisper White.  The base of the card is Melon Mambo.  I layered on Whisper White that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.  Then I used the Finial Press Impressions Folder with more Whisper White cardstock and layered that on another layer of Melon Mambo.  In the bar of the H, I placed three small pearls and also in the centers of the Lattice Die piece.

I cut the Melon Mambo Lattice Die in half and placed it in the center of my rectangle.  In the middle I stamped Hope in Rich Razzleberry and punched with the Postage Stamp Punch, then layered it on a 1 1/4 Square punch piece of Rich Razzleberry.  It is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  In the center I placed a trio of Pearls and also in the centers of the Lattice Die.  I tied a double bow and wrapped the ends around to the back of the Whisper White layer to secure.  Finally, I stamped the butterfly in Rich Razzleberry and cut it out, placing more Pearls on her body.

I love the crisp white look to this card and think it would give anyone hope when they saw it!  Make sure to check out the rest of the Stamping 411 Operators this week!

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 19 years and had my 18th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! If you live anywhere in the Delaware, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard or surrounding Columbus, Ohio areas, join us! I love to meet new stamping friends. Email me for a current class schedule... I'm adding new classes all the time!
