Too Kind

June 19, 2013 By Connie | 4 Comments

Summer FacebookIt’s Day 4 for the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection Preview Week and we are introducing Debbie Henderson as our next Design Team Member!!!  She has a special card and favor for you to enjoy over on our site and find out where to sign up for BLOG CANDY…but you have to visit us there to find out the details!

What’s the Summer Collection you ask?  Well its 24 fabulous EXCLUSIVE projects each with a full downloadable tutorial!  AND…by popular request…MORE card sets!

The projects shared through Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection are only shown to our subscribers and will not be posted anywhere else…not even previews…so you must be a member to enjoy.  Our projects are perfect for gifts and SU demo classes and camps!  Early bird special price is going on from now until June 22nd!  So relax this summer and let Create with Connie and Mary design your projects this summer!

As many of you know, I’m out of town enjoying my new grandson, Carter.  I did bring a limited amount of stamping supplies with me.  Since he was 9 days early, I wasn’t prepared to be out of town quite so early!  So…I put this card together with minimum supplies…and actually, I really like how it came out!

Here are the details…easy to whip up a BUNCH of these!

  1. The 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 base is Strawberry Slush cardstock, folded in half.
  2. I cut a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Whisper White.
  3. I stamped the stems from Too Kind in Pistachio Pudding several times across the bottom.
  4. I used the smaller two-step flower and stamped the larger background off with Strawberry Slush ink before stamping it on the Whisper White.  Then stamped the Strawberry Slush full-stength with the smaller inside image.
  5. I used a sponge and added more Pistachio Pudding across the ground.
  6. Finally, I stamped You’re Too Kind in Cherry Cobbler ink in the upper left corner.

Simple, isn’t it?  But so nice when you have a bunch of them to make!  So…remember what you need to do?  Check out Debbie’s projects over on Create with Connie and Mary, and find out where to leave a comment for BLOG CANDY…a free subscription to Create with Connie and Mary’s Summer Collection (but if you win and have already subscribed, we’ll apply it to Fall Collection!).  And…while you are there, remember to sign up!  We’ll be starting on Sunday!

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 19 years and had my 18th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! If you live anywhere in the Delaware, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard or surrounding Columbus, Ohio areas, join us! I love to meet new stamping friends. Email me for a current class schedule... I'm adding new classes all the time!
