I'm at a stamping/scrapbooking retreat this weekend and love the time to catch up on some challenges. Freshly Made Sketches is one of my favorites. They had an easy one this week (FMS24), so I decided to play along while I'm here.
I love Stampin' Up!'s hostess set, Up in the Air, so I pulled it out to use in this challenge!
I started with a base of Wild Wasabi cardstock. Although you can't see it, the So Saffron layer is embossed with the Stripes Folder for a little texture! I added a piece of designer paper from Pocketful of Posies and layered it on more Wild Wasabi cardstock. I cut a Label Framelit for the image and stamped it on Early Espresso. I carefully colored it with my AquaPainter and Stampin' Write Markers, adding a little while gel pen in the center…a la Karen Barber! The birdhouse I stamped again with Baja Breeze ink on Whisper White and cut it out to place over the Early Espresso one. I layered the Framelit on Early Espresso, added pearls in the corners and wrapped Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon around and tied a knot. So much fun making this card!
Have a great weekend!

Woah! Connie! Center Stage that Framelit on Early Espresso! Wow! Look how sweet it looks! It just shows the precious shape of that label! and what a darling stamp set! Your little cherry blossoms are so sweet! You'll have to show some detail how you accomplish "watercoloring" with a marker & Aqua Painter, I see an Aqua Painter and I want to Run!
