Today is Friday and time for Bloggers' Challenge! This week's challenge was to use the color Green and a neutral! Wow! I had a tough time finding a stamp that I could just color in greens. Now…I'm sure all the fabulous ladies will find lots of ways to use the color green!
My card started with a base of Garden Green cardstock. I layered on the green print from Kaleidoscope (I know…I'm hooked on this paper!) I did the scallop rectangle with both the Scallop Corner Trim Punch and Scallop Border Trim Punch from Confetti White cardstock. Then I layered Garden Green and Certainly Celery in the center. I stamped the gifts from Stampin' Up!'s free Sale-A-Bration set, Happy Moments, in Basic Black on Confetti White and watercolored it with my Stampin' Write Markers and AquaPainter. Finally, I added the White Satin Ribbon in the background and added a pretty Satin White bow on the front!
Hope you have a great weekend! While you are reading this, I'm at a long weekend stamping retreat! I'm SURE I'm having fun!
Super pretty connie! I think you knocked this one out of the park!
Super card. Your watercoloring is awesome.
Connie, I think your card is awesome! I love the coloring of the presents and the white bow and the frame around the image is gorgeous!
So cute! I had a really hard time with this challenge, but you knocked it out of the park…as usual!!!
Who knew garden green could look so good?? LOL!
Great birthday card, Connie! Love the big white bow–and the Kaleidoscope paper, too. Hope you're having a great time at your stamping retreat!
Ohh love those gifts and papers you chose! Lovely card!
I love the different shades of green you used to color your boxes. Super cute card, especially with the scallops!
Really cute! I didn't choose to use any neutrals and I wish I had. Just the touch of browns brings depth to the color scheme. Nice Card :-)!
OK…now I feel foolish after re-reading your description. They LAYERING of greens is great ;0).
Very pretty Connie! I love that background paper, and your PERFECT bow!
WOW!!! You really made the color green beautiful!! I love this card and funny how we both used the same DSP pack for our green!!!
