Yeah! I had time today to make up a card for Mary Jo's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge (TSSC166). It is also pretty close to LateNightStampers Color Challenge this week. Early Espresso, Certainly Celery, Blushing Bride and So Saffron. I used Pear Pizzazz instead of Celery, only because the DSP was Pear Pizzazz…it is so close that I don't think it matters!
Well, truthfully, I should be working on wedding invitations…I blocked out my week so I could start them. Next Sunday the bride, bride's mom and maybe a few others are coming over to help put them together. I need to get them printed, cut and stamped!
This was a fun sketch and my card came together pretty easily! I started by picking the stamp set I wanted to use, Stampin' Up!'s Nature Walk. Then I used a coordinating print from Botanical Gazette Designer Paper. Isn't it GREAT that Stampin' Up! has stamps and accessories that coordinate so well! I think that is one of their BIGGEST strengths! Then I layered the DSP onto Early Espresso cardstock. I wrapped some Blushing Bride Ribbon around and tied a knot. That was placed on the base card of So Saffron.
I cut the largest oval from Very Vanilla with the Big Shot and Ovals Bigz Die. I used my Stampin' Write Markers in Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Blushing Bride to color in the Nature Walk floral stem and stamped several times on the Oval. I stamped the butterfly from Nature Walk on scrap Very Vanilla, colored with the So Saffron Marker and cut it out. It is popped up on the Oval. I placed the Oval on the base card Designer Paper with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped Get Well Wishes from Stampin' Up!'s Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set in Early Espresso on So Saffron and punched with the Modern Label Punch. I added Pearl Jewels to the Modern Label tag and graduated sizes of the Pearl Jewels on the side of the oval for some interest. I also added a teeny tiny one to the butterfly's eye.
My husband's employee was in a BAD car accident over the weekend. They flipped the car a couple times after a semi truck didn't see them braking to avoid hitting a dog and clipped them from behind. The jaws of life had to get them out because the car was so destroyed. He had to have surgery to place pins in a broken femur and wrist…his wife walked away with bumps and bruises. Both were VERY lucky. But…when I went to give my husband a get well card to take to the hospital…I didn't have ANY get well cards!!! So…you'll probably be seeing quite a few of them over the next couple weeks as I replenish my stock!
Have a great week and enjoy the blog hop below!

Connie – this is one gorgeous card! I love every aspect of it. I hadn't really thought much about that set, but now I gotta take a second look at it! Thanks for sharing. Thoughts and prayers for your husband's employee and family.
