Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. It’s a last Monday of the month and our last July theme of “Summer”. Cards that represent the warmer temps and longer days…at least here in Ohio!
BESIDE ME
I hadn’t used this set yet, although I did earn it during Sale-A-Bration this year! I love the greetings in it, but also this image of the family fishing! My husband (grandpa) just bought a new fishing pole for the grandkids to use. They have gone a couple times to the catch and release pond by our house! Our grandson, Brody, caught a nice size bass!
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of checked Perennial Lavender 12×12 Designer Paper was added on top.
- The 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 Basic White cardstock was colored with Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Lemon Lolly Inks in the background using the Blending Brushes.
- The birds were stamped with Memento Black Ink.
- The man and kids were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White and colored with Lemon Lime Twist, Summer Splash, Pretty In Pink, Crumb Cake, Light Wild Wheat, Ivory & Bronze, and Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and adhered to the blended panel. The panel was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The “sun” was cut with the Stylish Shapes Die from Basic White cardstock, stamped with the Beside Me greeting in Memento Black Ink and blended with Lemon Lolly Ink using a Blending Brush. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.
