Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Birthday”, and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!
I’ve used Stampin’ Up!’s new host set, Calming Camellia, for today’s card! You can get it FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration! It isn’t usually a style I gravitate to, so it was a little different working with it, but I like the outcome! I used some cheery bright colors.
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Magenta Madness cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greenery leaf and Pear Pizzazz Ink randomly.
- A 1 x 4 strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock was added across the front, then a 1/8 x 4 strip of Magenta Madness cardstock added over that.
- Happy Birthday from Calming Camellia stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then cut with the label in the Bouquet of Love Dies. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front.
- A bow was tied from Magenta Madness Open Weave Ribbon and added with a Mini Glue Dot next to the label.
- A trio of In Color Jewels (pink) were added to the background.
