Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas Flowers

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s challenge is “Christmas Flowers”.

DELICATE PINES & CHRISTMAS GREENERY

My mom received the most GORGEOUS peachy/pink poinsettia from her church group.  I tried to recreate the color here!  Absolutely no stamping on here…I used two different sets of dies and the Greetings for You pack again!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock was embossed with the Christmas Greenery Embossing Folder and added to the front.  Some Old Olive ink was brushed across the raised areas for a little more texture.
  • The large leaf cluster and two holly leaves from Christmas Greenery was cut from Old Olive and brushed with Old Olive Ink, then adhered to the background.
  • The small snowflake outline from Delicate Pines was cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
  • The small flower was cut twice with the Delicate Pines Die from Basic White cardstock, then LIGHTLY brushed with Flirty Flamingo Ink.  They were adhered together, then added to the small Flirty Flamingo snowflake with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  It was added over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The long greenery piece from Delicate Pines Dies was cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock, then cut in half and added over the leaves.
  • Joy from Greetings For You Elements was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of pink Rainbow Dots were added to the center of the poinsettia.

Very elegant looking!  I like the pop of coral pink against the dark green! It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  It’s a cool sketch challenge this week!

CHRISTMAS GREENERY & TRADITIONAL LABELS

I used mostly DSP and dies to make this card!  I had a couple pieces already made on my desk, so just combined them!  I didn’t realize I had used multiple die sets until it was finished!  lol!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Old Olive is embossed with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • The tag was cut with the Festive Friends Die from Traditions of Christmas DSP…love this poinsettia print!  It was added at an angle to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The poinsettia spray from the Traditionals of Christmas DSP was cut with the Christmas Greenery Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Traditional Labels was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic White and cut with the Traditional Labels Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pine needle greenery from Christmas Greeney Dies was cut from Mossy Meadow, and cut in hlf, then tucked under the Poinsettia spray on each side.
  • Some White 1/4″ Ribbon was tied in a bow and added to the tag at the top with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of gold Traditional Sparkle Sequins were added to the background and more added to the center of the flowers.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  It’s a pretty color challenge this week to try!

CHRISTMAS GREENERY

Although this set says “Christmas”, I thought it would be great to use for a non-Christmas card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • The flower was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Die.  It was added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Gathering Moments was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Highland Heather cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Frosted Iridescent Dots were added to the background.
