On Saturdays during the session, Create with Connie and Mary New Catalog 2012 Edition will be having challenges each week. Our first week is a Color Challenge! While only our subscribers are eligible to win prizes, we thought everyone would like to see how the Design Team was inspired by this color challenge!
If you look closely, you'll see these are the colors in Comfort Cafe Designer Paper! So, I used a couple different patterns in that package for my card.
I started with Cajun Craze cardstock and layered on the floral pattern in Comfort Cafe. Across the bottom I adhere the Soft Suede pattern. I stamped the Layered Labels in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla, then cut it with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. I stamped it again in Summer Starfruit and cut out around the oval center. I added a few pearls to the bottom layer and a little bit of lace with the "Wishes" greeting stamped in Cajun Craze on Cajun Craze cardstock and trimmed with a flag end.
I knew I still needed a little more Pool Party, so I stamped the filigree image again in Pool Party (twice) on Pool Party cardstock, then lined up the Elegant Butterfly punch so that the filigree image was balanced on the butterfly! A couple more pearls for the butterfly body!
