Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is Sale-A-Bration!  Our last one for the month!  We will design our cards using this theme!

DAY AT THE FARM

I’ve used the SAB Level 1 selection Day at the Farm DSP for today’s card!  It came together really quickly once I decided which patterns to use!  Today is the LAST DAY to take advantage of SAB rewards!  Don’t miss out!

 

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Daffodil Delight was embossed with the upcoming Basics crosshatch 3D Embossing Folder.  You can order the trio of Basic folders beginning March 1st!
  • Two 1/2 x 4 pieces of Daffodil Delight striped DSP was added on top and bottom of the 3 x 4 chicks and ducks pattern DSP from Day on the Farm DSP.  It was added to the front.
  • The greeting from Framed Florets Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink, then cut with the Something Fancy Tag Die.
  • A 1/4 x 1-3/4 strip of chicken wire pattern in Day at the Farm DSP was added above the greeting.
  • Some Black/White Gingham Ribbon was tied in a bow thru the tag.  The tag was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • The small flower from Petal Park Punch was punched from Daffodil Delight cardstock and adhered next to the tag.
  • A blue Glossy Dot was added in the center of the flower.

IM264 – Day at the Farm

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This is a fun woven tapestry, isn’t it?

DAY AT THE FARM

I thought the FREE Sale-A-Bration Day at the Farm Designer Paper would work perfectly for this challenge!  I built a little scene with the different layers and pieces of the DSP…only the greeting is stamped!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White is added on top.
    • The 3-3/4 x 4 piece of green fields DSP is added to the bottom of the Basic White c/s.
    • The 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of speckled DSP was torn across the bottom, then added along the top of the Basic White layer.
    • A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of yellow stripe DSP was added across the front.
    • The “sun” was the smallest Stylish Shapes circle cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight Ink using a sponge dauber.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The cow and flower were cut from the Day at the Farm DSP and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The greeting from Beautifully Happy was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/4 x 2 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and the end cut at an angle.

 

This card totally morphed into something completely different than in my head, but I think it fits the tapestry inspiration, don’t you?  OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!
