Gift Certificate Archives - Inkspired Treasures

A friend of one of my Club members called to ask for a gift certificate for her. I have a stack of these gift certificates from Merrill, so I decided to design a gift certificate holder around it! I did trim the gift certificate to 5 1/4 inches wide so that I just needed to use a 1/2 sheet of cardstock and it would fit in a normal sized envelope.

Since I'm in LOVE with the Everyday Enchantment Sale-A-Bration Designer Paper, I took my colors from the floral print. The base of the gift certificate cover is Peach Parfait, cut 5 1/2 x 7, and scored at 4 1/4. I used Sticky Strip to close up the sides. I stamped Celebrate from Outlined Occasions in Black Stazon, then used my Versamarker to color in the letters…it gives a really neat tone-on-tone look. I stamped the Fresh Vintage floral image in Peach Parfait in the corner and on the envelope.

I cut a piece of the floral DSP and used the Adorning Accents Edgelit Die to cut the front and back edges. I used a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock to line underneath the DSP for more stability and used the Edgelit die and embossing folder along the front edge.

Inside, the pocket holds the gift certificate. The corner of the certificate is also stamped with the Fresh Vintage image.

I'm starting to take orders again for ALL the Ribbon Shares and wanted to let you know that I've added the 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbons that are in the new Occasions Mini Catalog! These ribbons are awesome for tying bows and give a unique texture to your crafting! Since most of these colors are not available in the other ribbon varieties, they are a nice addition to round out your ribbon supplies! Here is a Gift Certificate Holder that I made for anyone that ordered gift certificates from me at Christmas Time! I used the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon on it so you can see how nice it lays!

I used Always Artichoke for the base of the gift card and rounded the front corners of the flap. I used the Deck the Halls Designer Paper and layered it on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I also used the Scallop Trim Border Punch along the bottom of the Cherry Cobbler on the outside and on the inside flap. The stamp images are from Stampin' Up!'s Bells and Boughs (LAST DAY TO ORDER from the Holiday Mini!) and randomly stamped on the inside with Always Artichoke Classic Ink. I also stamped it on scrap Very Vanilla and watercolored with Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Markers and cut it out, then popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped Merry Christmas from the stamp set in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla and punched with the Decorative Label punch, then sponged around the edges with Cherry Cobbler ink. Last I tied a ribbon bow from the 1/2 Seam Binding Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler for the front and attached the ends on the back. The element was placed on the front of the Gift Certificate Holder.
