CS169 – Yuletide Village

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  Our theme for November is Christmas!  Time to be thinking about what you will be making for Christmas cards and gifts!

YULETIDE VILLAGE

I love the little houses and church in the Yuletide Village stamp set!  Today’s is a quick card using one of the house images and the tag from Greetings of the Season (Online Exclusive).

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lost Lagoon was added on top.
  • The next layer is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Winter Meadow DSP.
  • A 1-1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top and added to a 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock.  It was cut with the tag from Greetings of the Season.
  • The top portion was stamped with the snowflakes in White Craft Ink and let dry.  Then the greeting from Greetings of the Season was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink.
  • The houses image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Smoky Slate, Soft Sea Foam, Light Daffodil Delight and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.  The bow and scarf with Poppy Parade Marker.  It was hand-cut and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow on the tag.
  • Wink of Stella was added to the rooftops and snowlines for a little sparkle!

CS161 – Autumn Leaves

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  We have a new theme for October…Happy Harvest!  Just in time for fall and upcoming Thanksgiving ideas!

AUTUMN LEAVES

The Autumn Leaves Bundle came out last year but is a carryover…the selection of leaves is wonderful!  I kept this really simple and let the new Splendid Autumn DSP do most of the work!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was added on front.
  • 1-1/2 x 5 and 1-1/2 x 4-1/2 strips of Splendid Autumn 6×6 Designer Paper were added side by side towards the left side.
  • The Autumn Leaves greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the Greetings of the Season Dies oval.
  • The Gold Metallic Paper was cut with the small maple leaf from the Autumn Leaves Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The oval greeting was added over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was placed through the hole and tied in a bow.
  • Two green Faux Glass Dots were added to the label.
