CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Thanksgiving

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week is all about Thanksgiving! Here in the United States, it is celebrated on November 28th this year! Tis the season to be grateful for all our blessings!

AUTUMN LEAVES

The “with a Grateful Heart” is one of my favorite sayings. You can find it in the Autumn Leaves stamp set! This card focuses on that greeting and the gorgeous Splendid Autumn Designer Paper! I admit that I’ve been hoarding this floral print…but I finally broke down and used it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Copper Clay cardstock was embossed with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 3 x 5-1/4 piece of the Splendid Autumn floral Designer Paper was added to the right side.
Two leaves from the Autumn Leaves Dies were cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock and blended with Copper Clay Ink using a Blending Brush. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Autumn Leaves was stamped with Copper Clay Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the label from the Autumn Leaves Dies. It was added over the stems of the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was doubled and then tied in a bow and added to the stems of the leaves.

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. We have a new theme for October…Happy Harvest! Just in time for fall and upcoming Thanksgiving ideas!

AUTUMN LEAVES

The Autumn Leaves Bundle came out last year but is a carryover…the selection of leaves is wonderful! I kept this really simple and let the new Splendid Autumn DSP do most of the work!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was added on front.
1-1/2 x 5 and 1-1/2 x 4-1/2 strips of Splendid Autumn 6×6 Designer Paper were added side by side towards the left side.
The Autumn Leaves greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the Greetings of the Season Dies oval.
The Gold Metallic Paper was cut with the small maple leaf from the Autumn Leaves Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The oval greeting was added over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was placed through the hole and tied in a bow.
Two green Faux Glass Dots were added to the label.

Saturday Blog Hop – Pumpkin Spice

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Pumpkin Spice”…cards with pumpkins on them!

AUTUMN LEAVES

This is one of the cards my Stamp Clubs did last month! I don’t normally show the cards they make in class, but I loved how this one turned out, so I thought I’d share since it fit the theme this week. I’m on a binge about making these “wood” looking pumpkins from the Countryside Corners Dies! Thanks to Libby Fens for the idea of adding the embossed stripes!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Copper Clay cardstock, score at 5-1/2 and fold to form base card.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock was stamped with the double leaf and Mossy Meadow Ink along the edges.
A 2 x 4 piece of All About Autumn Designer Paper was added across the front.
The 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Very Vanilla was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The pumpkin was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Countryside Corners Die and embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder. The edges were sponged with Cajun Craze Ink, then the raised ridges were sponged with White Craft Ink direct to paper.
The stem was hand-cut from Pecan Pie cardstock.
The leaf from Autumn Leaves was cut from All About Autumn DSP. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, cut a flat end and adhered to the pumpkin.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to the background and the greeting.

CS111 – Autumn Leaves

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is Fall cards!

AUTUMN LEAVES

I’ve had planned this card for a different project I needed a couple months ago and ended up not using it. I just ran across the card again and thought I’d post it, especially since the All About Autumn Designer Paper is expected back in stock at any time!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, score at 5-1/2 and fold to form base card.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock was embossed with the Distressed Tiled Embossing Folder and cut with the leaf from the Autumn Leaves Dies.
A 2 x 3 piece of All About Autumn DSP was added behind the opening, then added to the front of the card.
The leaf veins were cut from Copper Clay cardstock and adhered to the cut-out embossed leaf. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals next to the opening.
Some Natural Ribbon was shredded and tied in a knot, then added to the top of the leaves.
A 5/8 x 3-3/4 strip of Copper Clay cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Autumn Leaves stamp set in Memento Black Ink and added across the top.
Two Crumb Cake Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added next to the greeting.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a fun sketch for you to try.

AUTUMN LEAVES

The All About Autumn Designer Paper has been on backorder for a while, so time to get creative with other DSP that IS available! Love this ticking pattern DSP…can you guess what DSP package it is from? Stamping on it gave me the fall look I was wanting!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path c/s is embossed with the Falling Leaf Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive).
A 3 x 3 piece of Let’s Go Fishing DSP is added as a diamond shape in the center.
The DSP was stamped with “rock and roll” leaves inked with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie for a two-tone look randomly in the background. Two extra sets of leaves were stamped the same on scrap Very Vanilla and cut with the Autumn Leaves Die.
The 3/8 x 3-1/2 strip of Pumpkin Pie is cut with the Autumn Leaves die for a cool stitched look.
The greeting was stamped with Pebbled Path Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then cut with the label Autumn Leaves Die.
The strip was adhered to the front with the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Crumb Cake Speckled Dots were added to the leaf, label and background.

IM300 – Autumn Leaves

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have some pretty yarn to inspire you!

AUTUMN LEAVES

I wasn’t worried if I got all five colors on my card, but I managed! And I think this card turned out so TOTALLY cool! I wanted to replicate the wood squared off pumpkins I have been seeing everywhere…and the Countryside Corners Dies worked perfectly! I did a simple technique to give the pumpkins a more rustic look using Whisper White Craft Ink!

Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock was added on front and the greeting from Autumn Leaves stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink in the upper right corner.
- Three sizes of pumpkins were cut with the Countryside Corners Dies from Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Lost Lagoon cardstock. They were sponged with the same colors ink and the Pumpkin Pie pumpkin had some Cajun Craze added, too. Then I used the edge of the Whisper White Craft Pad and ran it along the length of each pumpkin in “stripes”. Cool effect!
- The stems were hand-cut from Copper Clay cardstock and adhered behind the pumpkins that were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The leaves were cut from Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss and Pumpkin Pie cardstocks with the Autumn Leaves Dies and added to the base of the pumpkins.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the large pumpkin with a Mini Glue Dot.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have a wonderful pottery piece to inspire you!

AUTUMN LEAVES

I kind of struggled with the focus on with my card using this inspiration until I noticed the leaf in the bottom corner, so went in that direction!

Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Midnight Muse cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Earthen Elegance Designer Paper was added to the background.
- A 3/4 x 4 strip of Silver Foil (Online Exclusive) was added across the front.
- Two large leaves from Autumn Leaves were stamped with Boho Blue Ink and detail with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White cardstock, then hand cut to get the inked stem (you could use the die and add the detail die for the stem!) They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label in the Autumn Leaves Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of silver Neutral Sequins were added to the background.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have a beautiful cake to inspire you today.

AUTUMN LEAVES

I thought some of the leaves from the new Autumn Leaves Bundle would be pretty to use! I also used the new Deckled Circles Dies on my card!

Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
- A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of All About Autumn DSP was added on top.
- A 1-1/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock was added over the front.
- The Deckled Circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Dies. It was stamped with the greeting in Autumn Leaves with Copper Clay Ink. The circle was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two leaves were cut from Lost Lagoon and two leaves from Pretty Peacock using the dies. Two branches (veins) were cut from the copper medallion All About Autumn DSP. They were all assembled on the edge of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Monoadhesive Glue.
- A trio of copper Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to the center of the leaves.
