Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a spring showers umbrella image!

MEANT TO BEE

I had to pull out my bag of tricks to come up with this card!  I used a couple different die sets to create the flower-filled umbrella!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Melon Mambo cardstock is added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock is stamped with the Layering Leaves stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink across the top.
  • A 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Full of Life Designer Paper was added to the bottom.
  • The Meant to Bee hexagon is cut from Pool Party cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The umbrella was cut from Full of Life DSP with the Framed Scenes Die, trimmed in half, then a 1″ Circle cut the curves along the top.
  • The handle is the pitchfork from Storybook Garden Patch Dies cut from Basic Gray and the end of the handle from the Full of Life DSP.
  • The flowers and leaves were cut with the Meant to Bee dies from Basic White, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green and Azure Afternoon cardstocks.  They were assembled with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added to the umbrella.
  • Some white Baker’s Twine Essential Pack was tied in a bow around the handle.
  • Small Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the centers of the flowers for a little bling!

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week we have a pretty color combination.

LAYERING LEAVES

Love this color combination, but don’t necessarily think leaves.  My new Layering Leaves stamp set worked really well for today’s card!  I’m still waiting on the punch to be back in stock.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the solid leaves image in Lost Lagoon Ink around the left and bottom sides.
  • The open leaves were stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink in between the Lost Lagoon Ink leaves, then water colored the open areas with Soft Sea Foam Ink and water painters.
  • The speckles were stamped and stamped off with Berry Bliss Ink, along with the greeting.
  • Some Iridescent Adhesive Backed Disks were added to the background for a little sparkle!
