I LOVE the Nursery Suite Designer Paper. It is both great for baby boy or girl cards, but also WONDERFUL for Easter! Those bunny prints are DARLING…and it has wonderful stripes and my favorite is the little leaves in multi colors! Just a PERFECT package of Designer Paper with small prints that are easy to use on cards! (If you don't have yours…what are you waiting for? Easter will be here SOON! Email me to place your order now before Sale-A-Bration ends!)
I saw the sketch over on SCS today and thought I'd play along. Since the weather is warming up here (FINALLY!), I'm thinking spring! Well shoot…I just went back to pull the sketch to put here, but realized that it was LAST week's sketch I used! Oh well! I love this card anyway…and you'll enjoy it whether or not it was last week or this week, right? lol!
And here is my card!
I started with the Nursery Suite Designer Paper and picked out the little girl bunny pattern. That determined my base color of cardstock, Regal Rose. I also picked out the coordinating stripe in Regal Rose, So Saffron, Whisper White and Early Espresso, so that determined the rest of my color combination! (Again…how amazingly EASY that Stampin' Up! makes it for us to coordinate colors, right?) The bunny print was layered onto Early Espresso and also the Stripe Pattern was layered on Early Espresso.. I wrapped some Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon around the striped piece and tied a knot.
I made a flower from the Fun Flowers L Bigz Die from Whisper White and edged around the petals with my Sponge Dauber and Regal Rose Classic Ink. I separated the layers with Stampin' Dimensionals and placed a Sweet Stitches Fabric Button in the center. I added two of the leaves (petals) from the small flower on the die in Pear Pizzazz that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Impressions Folder for extra texture.
Finally, I stamped Easter Wishes from Something to Celebrate Hostess Set in Early Espresso on Regal Rose and punched with the Large Oval Punch. I'm not CRAZY about the button in the center…a little wild for the rest of the card…wish we still had the corduroy buttons to use…LOVED them!
Off to work on the wedding invitations some more…still in cutting phase. It will be nice to move onto the stamping phase!
Sharing creativity one stamped image at a time!
