My Stamp Club members made this cute little treat holder at our last meeting. Nice and bright for summer! Inside I placed a tea bag package, but it would easily fit a Ghiradelli chocolate package, too. Or folded money or gift card if you wanted to give a little bit more.
I started with the base of Summer Sun measuring 7 1/2 x 3 1/2, scored it at 3 1/2 & 4. I covered the front with a 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock and then a 3 x 3 piece of Pink Flamingo Designer Paper. I notched out the corners with the Corner Tag Punch.
Inside, I cut Pink Flamingo Designer Paper 6×6 and scored one side at 1 1/2 and 4 1/4, turned it and scored the other way at 2 3/4 and 3 1/4. Fold the long sides in and adhere along the 1/4 overlap to form pouches and punched 1/2 of a circle from the 1" Circle Punch on each end. I centered and adhered it to the inside so the center fold marks line up with the outside Summer Sun score marks and adhere. I took my Crop A Dile and punched the small hole on each side between the score marks in the center. I placed some Tempting Turquoise 1/4 Grosgrain Ribbon between the holes and tied a knot bow on the outside. I filled one side with the Tea Bag packet and the other I made a small pull-out card. The greeting is from Curvy Verses. I used the Totally Tabs stamp set to decorate my Round Tab punched from Tempting Turquoise and added a small flower from Trio of Flowers Punch and a red Mini Brad to the center.
The Belly band is made 1 x 11 from Summer Sun cardstock. Wrap it around the closed and filled gift packet so you get the correct dimension. Adhere the tab. I covered the ends with my Wide Oval punched from Cameo Coral, stamped Just for You from Oval All stamp set in Basic Black on Whisper White and punched with the Large Oval. I also stamped Just for You on Tempting Turquoise, the punched it with the Scallop Oval punch. The Whisper White is layered over the Tempting Turquoise Scallop Oval and then the Cameo Coral Wide Oval piece. I added another of the Trio of flowers punched Summer Sun with a Red Mini Brad in the center.
I plan on making up a bunch of these for the bank where my husband works. He runs all the Retail Branches in the city. They do a Teller Appreciation Week where they bring in a little treat for all the tellers every day of the week. I also think it would be a nice something extra to mail to a sick friend or co-worker to let them know you are thinking of them.
I have new Stamp Clubs forming now! Let me know you want to join! You get to be the hostess one of the months and earn all the hostess benefits from that workshop! Long distance members will be mailed the kits for the projects we do on Club night.
