Playful Polka Dots Scrappin Kit Archives

Time again for another Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge! I had a LOT of fun with this one…it came together pretty quickly! Here is the sketch, we'd love for you to play along!

And my card uses a couple of my favorite products in the Summer Mini. I used the Designer Paper from the Scrappin Kit, Playful Polka Dots (I had a LOT of this left over from a project!) I also used a portion of the Sunny Fun Stamp Set with the little kids on inner tubes!

I started with a base of Old Olive and layered on Daffodil Delight. Then I used the three different Designer Papers in Playful Polka Dots. I inked up just the two kid images from Sunny Fun Stamp Set with Black Stazon on Whisper White and used my Stampin' Write Markers to color them. I punched it with the 2 3/8 Circle punch and layered on Old Olive 2 1/2" Circle. I stamped "On Your Birthday" from that stamp set (retiring!) in Black Stazon on Pumpkin Pie and punched with the Modern Label Punch. I added three rhinestones in the upper right corner. I made a bow from Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon and added a Pumpkin Pie Flower Brad with another Rhinestone Jewel in the center. It is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card.

This week on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition, we are featuring the Playful Polka Dots Scrappin Kit! This Kit is SO much fun and I love all the bright colors and Designer Paper in it! Our Saturday Challenge was to use the pieces of our kit left over from the projects we made. I had a couple flowers and some of the adhesive strips left, so I decided to use those along with the textured cardstock in the Kit.

I started with a base of Daffodil Delight cardstock and layered on the Old Olive Textured Cardstock. I added a variety of the adhesive diecut strips to the background. On the large bottom scallop one, I added Rhinestone Jewels in each of the scallops! I cut a large blossom with the Fun Flowers Die from Whisper White and ran it thru the Big Shot with the Finial Press Impressions Folder. I layered on the Scalloped Rose Red Polka Dot Flower adhesive diecut and the center scallop circle adhesive diecut with a Daffodil Delight Flower Brad in the center. The brad also has a Rhinestone Jewel in the center. It is popped up in the center with Stampin' Dimensionals. I also added "leaves" with some leftover scraps of the Old Olive Pennant and used a Daffodil Delight one for underneath the greeting. I inked up Make A Wish from Everything Nice stamp set with Rose Red Stampin' Write Marker and punched it with the Word Window Punch.
