Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Happy”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday using that theme!
RAINBOW OF HAPPINESS
Here’s another set that I’m not happy to see leaving so quickly! I’m not normally a rainbow person, but this set is really a fun one! I love using it in reverse like this card. I had a bunch of rectangle cut-out rainbows left over from a class using just the white rainbow. Backing the reverse cutout with DSP makes it pop!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Coastal Cabana cardstock was added on top.
- Next is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White layer.
- A 2-1/2 x 3-3/8 piece of Pattern Party DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
- You Make Me Happy from Rainbow of Happiness stamp set was stamped at the bottom with Memento Black, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The rainbow was cut with the Rainbow Dies from a 2 x 2-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, the reverse cutout adhered on top with Monoadhesive Glue so the DSP shows thru.
- Two small clouds were cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock and added below the rainbow cutout with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of pink Hexagon Dots were added to the background.
