Creatively Simple 32 – Rainbow of Happiness

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Happy”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday using that theme!

RAINBOW OF HAPPINESS

Here’s another set that I’m not happy to see leaving so quickly! I’m not normally a rainbow person, but this set is really a fun one! I love using it in reverse like this card. I had a bunch of rectangle cut-out rainbows left over from a class using just the white rainbow. Backing the reverse cutout with DSP makes it pop!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Coastal Cabana cardstock was added on top.
Next is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White layer.
A 2-1/2 x 3-3/8 piece of Pattern Party DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
You Make Me Happy from Rainbow of Happiness stamp set was stamped at the bottom with Memento Black, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The rainbow was cut with the Rainbow Dies from a 2 x 2-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, the reverse cutout adhered on top with Monoadhesive Glue so the DSP shows thru.
Two small clouds were cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock and added below the rainbow cutout with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of pink Hexagon Dots were added to the background.

IM212 – Rainbow of Happiness

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a cute rainbow pillow as our inspiration!

RAINBOW OF HAPPINESS

I love the soft pastel colors on this pillow, so used Stampin’ Up!’s new Brilliant Rainbow Dies to recreate it. And I’m going to say again, I wish we had a pretty shade of PINK like in this pillow! A true baby pink to go with the peachier ones we have now.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was added on top.
- A 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 square of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP was added to the front.
- I cut one of each color of rainbow with the Brilliant Rainbow Dies (I saved the extra pieces for future projects!) from Highland Heather, Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron and Blushing Bride cardstocks and added them to the DSP with Monoadhesive Glue.
- Three of the clouds were cut from Basic White cardstock with the dies and added under the rainbow.
- The greeting from Rainbow of Happiness stamp set was stamped with Highland Heather Ink under the DSP.
- A trio of In Color Jewels were added to the background next to the greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Celebrating Sale-A-Bration

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Celebrating Sale-A-Bration”. Last week we showed off our favorite SAB stamp set with the “Loving Sale-A-Bration” blog hop. This week we are showing off our favorite PRODUCT, not including stamp sets, from the SAB collection!

Rainbow of Happiness is a bundle in the new January-June 2022 Mini Catalog, but the coordinating designer paper is a FREE Sale-a-Bration Level 1 Selection! I love the patterns and bright colors in the DSP, so have to choose it as my favorite product!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2-7/8 x 5-1/4 piece of the Navy rainbow pattern was added to the left side of the base card and the reverse side was cut to 1 x 5-1/4 and added towards the right side, leaving a small gap.
A 3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock was added to the front.
Some Silver Simply Elegant Trim was wrapped in a circle and added over the Pool Party piece.
The greeting from Rainbow of Happiness was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Basic White, the hearts with Magenta Madness Ink, then cut with the Stitched Rectangles Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
