I need to make bridal shower invitations for my future daughter in law. Here is one version that I debated on using. I decided to go with a more traditional one page invitation instead. But, I still like the way this card looks so thought I would share it with you! Their colors are Melon Mambo and Night of Navy with a "touch" of Pumpkin Pie (my son's favorite color!) Perfect for an August wedding, right?
And, although I do own TONS of other stamp sets, I pulled out Stampin' Up!'s Flower Fest again from the Summer Mini. Mostly because it is so easy to stamp and punch. Since I'll be doing a lot of invites, that was my first thought. (Of course, the finished project I used Fabulous Flourets and cut out all the flowers…anyway…I digress and will show you the finished one at a later time!)
I started with a base of Melon Mambo. The center Whisper White panel I embossed with the Elegant Lines Impressions Folder. I stamped You're Invited from Sincere Salutations in Melon Mambo in the lower right corner. Then I stamped the large flower with Melon Mambo Classic Ink on Melon Mambo cardstock and punched with the Fancy Flower Punch. Stamped it again and just cut out the center portion. Then I stamped the star shape flower with Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink on Pumpkin Pie and punched with the 5 Petal Punch. I added Pumpkin and Rose Mini brads to the centers and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I wanted to be careful to not embellish them too much and cost extra postage! I did stamp two leaves in Old Olive on Old Olive cardstock and cut them out to place behind the large flower.
That's it! Really, they would have come together pretty quickly. But…onto another design.
