Saturday Blog Hop – Spring Flowers

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is “Spring Flowers” this week! It is SO nice to see the grass greening up, the daffodils and early flowers in bloom, and the trees starting to bud out. I love this time of year…although my allergies do NOT. Must be something with the flowering trees to cause my itchy eyes and nose! lol!

I love the Succulent Framelits all on their own and have used them for SEVERAL of my Create projects. Only the greeting is stamped! Here are the details on this card:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Peekaboo Peach cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2 x 4 piece of Sahara Sand Neutrals Designer Paper was adhered across the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
A length of the Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon was placed across the front and adhered in the back to hide the seam. I am going to MISS that ribbon when it retires!
Cut two of the medium larger flower shapes of Succulents with So Saffron cardstock, then the two smallest sizes from Peekaboo Peach cardstock for the center. Adhere all together, then add to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Color a Perfect White Accent with Black Sharpie Marker and add to center.
Cut another of the medium larger flower shape of Succulent from Pear Pizzazz cardstock, then cut of two petals (twice) for the leaves. Tuck and adhere under the flowers.
Stamp the Happy Mother’s Day greeting from Oh So Succulent with Memento Black Ink.

I’m SO happy with how this turned out and can’t wait to give it to my mom for Mother’s Day this year!

CCMC452 – Big On Birthdays

This week we have a pretty color combination over on Create with Connie and Mary. The colors scream SPRING to me, even though we could get SNOW around here today and tonight! Yikes!

Here’s my card using Big on Birthdays! First time I’ve used this image in that set!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Peekaboo Peach Paper Pack DSP was added to the top of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
The large Big On Birthdays greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the bottom.
The flowers were colored with So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Sahara Sand Markers.
A portion of a Lace Doily was sponged with So Saffron Ink, then added below the Designer Paper.
A row of Pearls were added along the seam of the DSP.
A length of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon was tied in a knot, then added to the top of the doily with a Mini Glue Dot.

Love and Affection

One of my downline just promoted to Bronze Elite AND recruited, so I made up a little congrats card for her, along with mailing a little package of embellishments to her! I used the Love & Affection stamp set with the Affectionately Yours Designer Paper for the card…the Metallic Copper looks like Bronze on this paper! I decided to actually use it instead of hoarding it!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Watermelon Wonder cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
At the top of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock, a 2 x 5-1/4 piece of the Affectionately Yours Designer Paper was placed.
A band of the Affectionately Yours Washi Tape was added to hide the seam.
Yay! from All Things Thanks was stamped with Watermelon Wonder Ink on Whisper White, then punched with the 1-3/4 Circle Punch and placed on the Watermelon Wonder doily. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower from Love & Affection was stamped with Versamark on Watermelon Wonder cardstock, then embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and hand cut out. A Perfect White Accent was added to the center.
The leaf was stamped with Versamark on Cucumber Crush an embossed with Copper Embossing Powder, cut out and placed under the flower.

It really is SO shimmery and pretty in person…and that paper was perfect to use for the Bronze Elite promotion!
