Saturday Blog Hop – Pink Champagne

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them! This week’s theme is “Pink Champagne” by Ariana Grande.

ARTISTIC LEAVES

I already made a poinsettia with the leaf from this set, so decided a pink flower would work! I love the Sunflower embossing folder background, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Strawberry Slush cardstock is embossed with the Sunflower Embossing Folder.
The Everyday Arches was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock, turned upside down and stamped with the greeting in Strawberry Slush Ink across the top. It was adhered to the front.
A 1/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock was added across the front.
The leaf was stamped 5 times with Strawberry Slush Ink and the detail with Pretty in Pink Ink. The leaves were stamped 3 times with Lemon Lime Twist Ink. All were hand cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the center of the flower.

Love and Affection

One of my downline just promoted to Bronze Elite AND recruited, so I made up a little congrats card for her, along with mailing a little package of embellishments to her! I used the Love & Affection stamp set with the Affectionately Yours Designer Paper for the card…the Metallic Copper looks like Bronze on this paper! I decided to actually use it instead of hoarding it!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Watermelon Wonder cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
At the top of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock, a 2 x 5-1/4 piece of the Affectionately Yours Designer Paper was placed.
A band of the Affectionately Yours Washi Tape was added to hide the seam.
Yay! from All Things Thanks was stamped with Watermelon Wonder Ink on Whisper White, then punched with the 1-3/4 Circle Punch and placed on the Watermelon Wonder doily. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower from Love & Affection was stamped with Versamark on Watermelon Wonder cardstock, then embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and hand cut out. A Perfect White Accent was added to the center.
The leaf was stamped with Versamark on Cucumber Crush an embossed with Copper Embossing Powder, cut out and placed under the flower.

It really is SO shimmery and pretty in person…and that paper was perfect to use for the Bronze Elite promotion!

I recently participated in a swap and used the beautiful Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Avant Garden. Since I’m tired of winter already, I cheered myself up by using some bright spring colors, Peekaboo Peach and Pear Pizzazz!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
In two corners of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Peekaboo Peach, the speckle stamp was stamped several times with Peekaboo Peach Ink.
A 3 x 4 piece of Succulent Garden Designer Paper was added on top with a 1/4 x 4 strip of Basic Black cardstock across the front.
The largest Stitched Shapes circle was cut from Whisper White, then stamped the Avant Garden flower head with Peekaboo Peach Ink, the center with Memento Black Ink, the stem and leaves with Pear Pizzazz Ink.
The greeting from Avant Garden was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC417 Touches of Texture

It’s time for a sketch challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary! Hmm, when I first saw the sketch that Mary designed…I kind of scratched my head! That’s a lot of little strips for a background and I thought DSP might be too busy, so I looked for a stamp that was that shape. Found one in the Touches of Texture stamp set I received on the Mediterranean Cruise Incentive Trip that I hadn’t used that I thought would be perfect!

What do you think?

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party, folded in half.
On the 4 x 5-1/2 layer of Whisper White, the lacy line background image was stamped three times with Pool Party Ink. I love that it gives off just a touch of color!
The stem was stamped with Old Olive Ink and hello and the bee with Memento Black Ink.
The flower outline was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then the petals were stamped once with Crushed Curry and once with Watermelon Wonder, the center was filled in with Pumpkin Pie Marker. It was hand cut and placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bee was colored with the Crushed Curry Marker, then Clear Wink of Stella added to the wings and the tips of the flowers.
Finally, a double strand of Pool Party Bakers Twine was tied in a bow and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Framelits/Thinlets

This month on Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hops, we are switching it up a little and showing off our FAVORITES! This week we are featuring our FAVORITE FRAMELIT or THINLET SET! Well, again, a ton of new one to choose from, so how to pick? This one, Flourish Thinlets, was the first one to go on my order…so I’ll pick that as my “favorite”…lol! (Random, do any of you watch the Wahlburgers? Which child is Alma’s favorite? That is a frequent theme on the show! lol!)

I think what makes this card so striking is the color combination, what do you think? Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black, folded in half.
The Tip Top Taupe layer is 4 x 5-1/4.
The Flourish was cut with the Flourish Thinlets from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the front with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
The larger flower from the Flourish Thinlets was cut from Real Red, the center flower from Whisper White and adhered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals and put on front.
A Perfect White Accent fills the center.
With Sympathy from Flourishing Phrases is stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner.

SUOC142 Bunch of Blossoms

The challenge this time on SUO Challenges is a “Delight in Nature” theme! Of course, I immediately think of flowers and my Bunch of Flowers stamp set was already sitting on my desk…so great time to use it, right? And, I have a slight obsession with the Night of Navy, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight combination lately…so why stop? lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight, folded in half.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, adhere a 2 x 5 piece of Floral Boutique Designer Paper, cut with a flag end at the bottom.
From the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set, stamp the large solid flower image six times with Daffodil Delight on Whisper White, then the two-step inside image with Crushed Curry. Repeat with the smaller flower five times. Punch all the pieces with the Blossom Builder Punch. Adhere together. TIP: I use a circle to help me adhere the individual blossoms.
Stamp the center with Pumpkin Pie on Whisper White and punch out. Add a Perfect White Accent to the center, then adhere to the flower and to the card.
Stamp the inside leaves with Pear Pizzazz Ink on Garden Green cardstock, then the filler leaves with Garden Green and the outline with Garden Green Ink. Cut out by hand and tuck under the flower.
Stamp the greeting from Bunch of Blossoms with Night of Navy Ink.

CCMC407 Birthday Blooms

It’s Thursday again and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! It’s a FUN sketch challenge this week. I ended up making several cards with the basic layout while at my stamping retreat a few weeks ago!

And here’s my card…I’m LOVING these new In-Colors!!!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sweet Sugarplum, folded in half.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 layer of Whisper White.
Strips of Affectionately Yours Designer Paper cut 1 x 3-3/4, 3/4 x 3-3/4 and 1/2 x 3-3/4 were cut and added to the front.
Happiest of Birthdays to You was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black in the lower left corner.
The Birthday Blooms flower was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on scrap Whisper White and watercolored with the AquaPainter and Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive and Crushed Cucumber Markers. It was cut out by hand and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tucked behind are Gold Thread wrapped in circles and secured with Mini Glue Dots.

It’s Saturday and you know what that means!!! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Design Team Blog Hop! This week’s theme is Color Me Happy…there are many, many selections of stamps to color in the catalogs!

I REALLY, REALLY love to color…when I was small, the best gift you could give me was a new coloring book and crayons! They had to be SHARP, NEW crayons, too! I miss Stampin’ Up!’s Blendabilities…hoping they come out with something like them SOON!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper.
Across the front is a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Peekaboo Peach cardstock, stamped with the For You greeting in Birthday Blooms with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
The large blossom from Birthday Blooms was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White, then colored with the AquaPainter and Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron and Pear Pizzazz Markers.
The blossom was cut out and adhered to a 4th from Largest Circle Framelit cut from Whisper White. The circle is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The blossom was highlighted with some Clear Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.
Several Neutral Silver sequins were sprinkled around on the front.
