It's time again for Stamping 411 sketch challenge! I really enjoyed working with this week's sketch, and my card came together pretty quickly. Of course, part of the reason it came together quickly is because I already had "starts"…you know…those half finished pieces laying on your desk that you didn't use on another project! lol!
So here is the sketch!
And here is my card using Stampin' Up!'s Build a Blossom! I had the flower already started from another project. I used the Rock n Roll technique on the petals. I stamped them in Baja Breeze and then rolled the edges with Not Quite Navy. I punched it with the new Blossoms Petals punch. Then I used Frost Shimmer Paint with a sponge dauber on top to really make it shimmer! I wish you could see how shimmery it is in real life! I added an Old Olive center, then the Vintage Flower Adornment rose in the center! These are really nice!
The base of the card is Not Quite Navy. I layered on Baja Breeze cardstock. I used some Springtime Vintage Designer Paper (it was already cut and ready to go!) and layered it on Old Olive cardstock. I wrapped around Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and tied a knot. I curled the Build a Blossom flower backwards and then placed it with double Stampin' Dimensionals on another piece of Old Olive cardstock that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.
Finally I stamped "So Many Candles, so Little Cake" from Bring on the Cake stamp set in Not Quite Navy on Very Vanilla, then punched it with the Wide Oval punch. I layered it on the Decorative Label punch from Not Quite Navy cardstock and placed it on the Old Olive with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Make sure to check out what the rest of the Stamping 411 Operators have done this week! I'm sure they will be fabulous!
